Let's go South Day 4 - Rotorua & Wellington

Good morning Rotorua, this is a glance on Four Canoes Hotel, slept 4 with two beds, quite value for money, IDR 952,000/night shared by 4 persons, since breakfast is included and considered as last minutes booking, but I wonder if any of our hotels is not last minute booking. But the breakfast was very standard only cereals, yoghurts, bread, milk and banana.

Rotorua is known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs, as well as Maori culture . The biggest on is Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, where you can find Lady Knox Geyser, although it's human's "trick", but it's an unique experience to see an eruption to heights of 10 to 20 metres. Ticket to enter NZD 32.5/person, hassle is when you have to park and buy ticket then drive to another parking lot to enter the "show" area. It's pre set on 10.15am everyday. That ticket is for you to enter the thermal wonderland, first we were excited to walk the thermal but at certain point, this is just one green pool to another green pool, two tracks to choose and for sure we chose short one

From Rotorua we head down to Wellington preparing ourselves to cross to South, stopped by Lake Taupo to grab some gasoline and lunch and dropped by Huka Falls, you will feel like you want to jump into the water believe me!!! superb.

Arrived in Wellington around 5 pm but it was dark, and it's highly recommended not to stop in Wellington on your trip, unless you have no choice and unable to cross in the afternoon like us, the parking is killing even it's Sunday, we stayed in The Cambridge Hotel Wellington in the middle of the city and we have to either park in the building at the back or free parking on specific roads which need a short walk from hotel. and parking was written NZD 5/night after 7pm but we ended up pay NZD 13 in the morning when picking up the car. The hotel for the night costs IDR 1,231,016 for a room of 4, this for sure was not the best room of us but good enough for a cold night in the city.

"Every exit is an entry somewhere else" (Tom Stoppard), and for us south part will bring more excitement. Good night everybody.
